The Barun 700ml - 34.5% ABV
The best espresso martini you’ve ever made starts here!
The Barun is Five Eleven’s craft coffee liqueur, made with our own distilled vodka base and locally roasted coffee beans from The Coffee Barun, our neighbours at St Agnes. Ethically sourced, cold-dripped into the spirit, and finished with Australian sugar for a coffee liqueur that tastes exactly like a perfect espresso shot in a bottle.
Rich, nutty, with a beautiful burnt caramel sweetness and just enough acidity to keep it honest. As good on ice as it is in a cocktail.
Appearance: Deep and dark, looks like your morning black coffee.
Nose: Earthy coffee, syrupy burnt caramel.
Palate: Nutty cold brew coffee, demerara sugar, slight acidity.
How to Serve: On ice for a slow sipper. Or shaken hard with vodka and a fresh espresso shot for the easiest, best espresso martini you’ve ever made at home. See our Espresso Martini Duo for everything you need in one pack.
Made with Local Coffee, in South Australia: We didn’t just want a coffee liqueur, we wanted the best one we could make! That meant going next door. The Coffee Barun roasts locally, sources ethically, and cares about the end product as much as we do. It’s a collaboration built around making something genuinely worth drinking.
FAQs
What coffee is used in The Barun?
We use locally roasted coffee beans from The Coffee Barun an independent coffee roaster based right next door to our distillery in St Agnes, SA. The beans are ethically sourced and the coffee is cold-dripped directly into our own distilled vodka base.
Is The Barun good for espresso martinis?
It’s made for them! The flavour profile; nutty cold brew, burnt caramel, and slight acidity is designed to work exactly like a fresh espresso shot in a cocktail. Shake it with our vodka and a shot of coffee and you’ve got a bar-quality espresso martini at home. Our Espresso Martini Duo has everything you need.
Can I drink it straight?
Absolutely! it’s excellent over ice. The nutty coffee and caramel flavours are smooth enough to sip slowly without needing to mix it into anything.
How does it compare to Kahlúa or Mr Black?
The Barun sits closer to the Mr Black style, darker, more coffee-forward and less sweet than Kahlúa. If you want proper coffee flavour rather than a sugar hit, you’ll prefer The Barun.

FAQs
What is hard pink lemonade?
Hard pink lemonade is our alcoholic version of pink lemonade — a refreshing, lightly flavoured RTD (ready-to-drink) that combines spirit with citrus and floral flavours. Five Eleven's Hard Pink Lemonade is made with craft distilled spirit and inspired by our Róisín Rose Gin, giving it a genuine floral and citrus character at 5% ABV.
What does Five Eleven Hard Pink Lemonade taste like?
It's floral and refreshing — smooth rose notes with a hint of musk and a bright, crisp citrus finish. It's lighter and more elegant than most alcoholic lemonades, and not overly sweet. Think cocktail-inspired, not candy.
Is it gluten free?
Our Hard Pink Lemonade is made with a distilled spirit base. While we take care with our ingredients, we recommend checking with us directly at info@fiveelevendistilling.com.au if you have specific dietary requirements.
